Tenants Associations
Bay Area
The elders featured on this website are active members of their local Tenants Association, supported by their neighbors and broader community. In San Francisco, tenants have the legal right to organize into Tenants Associations to protect their housing, advocate for their rights, and build collective power.
For more information about your rights to organize, please visit the following link: New Legislation on Tenant Organizing and Tenant Associations – SF.gov.
You can also visit the Tenants and Neighborhood Councils (TANC) website for additional resources and support.
Below is information about some of the Tenants Associations currently active in our network. We are working to grow this page into a living database of affiliated Tenants Associations across San Francisco and beyond. Our goal is to strengthen solidarity among tenants through knowledge sharing, mutual support, and coordinated action.
If your Tenants Association would like to be included in this directory, please reach out to us at: team@fighteldereviction.org

Dolores Corner Tenants Association
Our Tenants Association was formed in 2023 in response to habitability concerns and ongoing challenges in our relationship with the landlord, who also resides on the property.
There are 9 of us in the Association, united in our commitment to protecting one another and fighting for our rights as tenants. Right now, we are actively resisting the unjust eviction of three of our members—an issue described in more detail on the homepage of this website.
We stand in support of other tenants facing similar conditions and encourage those in comparable situations to organize and reach out: dolorescornertenants@gmail.com
